How to set/remove an object ownership in Location Engine Configuration

This article shows how to set and remove object ownerships using Location Engine Configuration.

Before you start, remember to:

• Add an object 'Jon' of type 'Person' to your database

1) Load Location Engine Configuration

Navigate to the 'Owners' tab in Location Engine Configuration and select Ownership > New... from the menu:

2) Define the Tag Owner

In the 'Tag Owner' dialogue, enter the tag ID and select the object that the tag is attached to, along with the height of the tag. If you used the representation provided by Ubisense for the 'Person' type, the origin is at the person's feet. Enter the height of the tag as the height above the origin that the person will wear the tag. Here, we choose 1.5m:

Your tag ownership is now shown:

The position of the tag will drive the position of 'Jon' in the Ubisense platform.

3) Remove the ownership

You can remove the tag ownership when it is no longer required by selecting the row in the table and then clicking on Ownership > Delete:
